Hello Again. . . . . .
One last card for the weekend. This one is for a good friend of mine that I have known since third grade. She happens to be one day younger too. And she let's me know it every time our birthdays roll around. Darn her.
This is a shaker card that I used the ALTENEW Bold Alphabet dies to spell out her name, and is also the shaker portion of the card. For the card front I embossed it with a Anna Griffin embossing folder, then enhanced the look by sponging the entire front panel with Ranger Distress Ink - frayed burlap. I filled the shaker portion with sequins and micro beads from my stash. The wooden accent piece is one I found at Michael about a year ago. I have been waiting to use it on the perfect card, and this was it. The shell piece came from my jewelry making bead stash. And for the first time I am showing you the inside of a card (the picture is a tad overly bright), where I used another Anna Griffin embossing folder for the background, and a Happy Birthday die from Stampin Up! cut out of some glitter card from Hobby Lobby. I hope she likes it.
P.S. Believe or not, she saves all my handmade cards that I sent her over the last 2o+ years.
So here it is . . . . . . . . .
So glad you stopped by. Until next time. . . . . . .enjoy crafting. . . . . .
Susan
