A few short posting this holiday weekend. 

The first item is something I made for my facialist.  Her birthday is coming up, and seeing I'm still without a job funds continue to be a bit tight.  She loves my handmade paper creations so I thought this  would make a perfect gift for her. 

I made this little card carrier so it would fit Stampin Ups Note Cards and Envelopes #107311.  I'm  covering the note cards and card carrier with Chocolate Chip cardstock and Elegant Soiree DSP #117163.  I used the Lg. Fancy Flower punch #118073 to make a flower for the front  Attached it with a brown corduroy brad (retired) in the center.  I used two smaller brads to attach the handle.  A Word for You stamp set #120528 was used for the birthday sentiment wrapped in twine.  In making the card carrier I also used the Scallop Border punch, and the new Crumb Cake cardstock #120953.

 Item #2 - I had a few extra 5 x 7 envelopes in stock, so I decided to make a gift card/Greeting Card out of one. 

I used Cosmo Cricket/Togetherness 6x6 paper pad, along with Stampin Up Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede, and Crumb Cake cardstock.  I used the new 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punch #118874, and the Lg. Fancy Flower punch #118073 to make the flowers.  I accented the piece by sponging with Soft Suede ink and  stitch marks made with a Uni-ball White gel pen.  The center of the flowers are finished with a  large pearl brad.  I pulled out my piercing tool and mat, and poked a few holes to give it a little more texture.

Simple Balloons - Birthday Card - using Stampin Up! Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set

It's a Quickie Tuesday posting. . . . .

The card today is simple and quick using the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set #111618, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder #117335, and the Dot, Dot, Dot single wood stamp #115332, all from Stampin Up!.  I also used the Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, and Crushed Curry (not available) Polka Dot ribbon, ink, and cardstock.   Crystal Effects make the balloons come alive on the card.

Halloween triangle shaped Treat Box - using Stampin Up! Past and Present

Hello Everyone...........It's Monday

Today's little box is a quick and easy little treat box.  Great for birthdays, or holiday parties. 

I used the new Seasonal Sentiments stamp set from Stampin Up (available Sept 1st in the Holiday Mini Catalog) and the cute Two-Step Owl punch #118074, which I love.  The Halloween DSP is from 2009 (no loner available).   Other cardstock used - Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Elegant Eggplant, and (retired) Only Orange.  I used  Elegant Eggplant ink pad, blender pen, Staz-On black pad, Tag punch #105934, Scallop Trim border punch #1178042, and Only Orange 1/4" grosgrain ribbon (retired).

New S.U. stamp set - Loving You is Easy to do card - using Stampin Up! cardstock

It's Friday Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today's' card was made with Stampin Up! - Brilliant Blue and YoYo Yellow (both retired) cardstock, along with Whisper White.

S.U stamp sets - the new Seasonal Sentiments set (available Sept 1st from the Holiday Mini Catalog), and the two step Awash with Flowers set #120549.  I used the stamp-a-ma-jig and double stamped dots with the Dot, Dot, Dot, small background stamp #115332.  One corner is punched with the Scallop Trim corner punch #118870, and stitch marks made with a white gel pen from Uni-ball #105021.  Brilliant Blue and Summer Sun (both retired) classic ink pads.  Accents of grosgrain ribbon, a marker, and adhesive rhinestones.

Halloween Treat Boxes using Stampin Up Two-Step Owl - Batty for You

Hello Everyone

It's another hot one today, about 105.  YIKES!!!

I'm getting a jump on Halloween projects.  One of my favorite holidays, and it's just around the corner. 

The box templates I found online, free from Chris Simon. 

Most items used are from Stampin Up!:  The altered Two-Step Owl punch #118074 which I found on CreationsonPaper.blogspot.  He's so cute.  I used the Batty for You stamp set #116576, scallop border punch, and Basic Black cardstock.  I used a variety of punches - 1-1/8", SU 1-1/4", SU 1-3/8".  The googlie eyes, and papers came from my local craft and scrapbook stores.  Mini Peanut Butter cups are covered inside.

Treat Box - Opened

The second box used almost the same products except Only Orange, Certainly Celery, and YoYo Yellow cardstock.  Moon is embossed with the Polka Dot embossing folder, punched out with a EK Success 2-3/4" punch.  Basic Black ribbon ties up the box.  A white gel pen was used for the stitch marks.  The treats inside are Hershey Nuggets.

Sunday - Fold Over Pocket Card - using Stampin Up! & Designs

Photo Wallet using Stampin Up! - Hero Arts - Papertrey Ink - S.E.I. Patterned Cardstock

Hello Everyone

The project today is one that will be in a later Christmas stamping workshop of mine. 

I saw a picture of a photo wallet on someones website (sorry I can't remember whose).  Without a template or instructions I got to work on my own design.  After a few attempts and adjustments this is what I came up with. 

I thought the photo wallet would make a nice little gift for grandma, a new mom, or your favorite vacation photos to carry around for a quick showing.

Stampin Up! products: The new A Word for You stamp set #120528, and a retired hostess set Kind and Caring Thoughts #115324.  Large Oval punch, Scallop Border punch, Scallop Oval punch, (retired) Dusty Durango, Whisper White, and Chocolate Chip cardstock.  Classic ink pads.  I sponged the tag with Pumpkin Pie, tied with a Chocolate Chip 5/8" satin bow.  A Uni-ball White gel pen, and Micron Black pen made the stitch marks.

Other items used: Papertrey Ink stamp set, and Hero Arts border set.  The patterned cardstock is from S.E.I., and buttons from Papertrey Ink.  I filled the wallet with a few flower pictures I had taken.  You could fill the wallet with three pictures and some journaling, or six pictures.

Cards made after Midnight - using Stampin Up

Hello Everyone

Well I couldn't sleep last night so I got up about 1am and made a few cards.  The first card is a Folded Paper Frame card.  I found the written tutorial on Split Coast Stampers website.  

I used Stamping Up new Large Two-Step Owl punch #118074, A Word for You stamp set #120528, and the Sizzix Scallop Square die #115950.  S.U. cardstock - Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White, and Confetti White.  A bit of S.U. Elegant Soiree DSP.  I accented the front of the card with a piece of Chocolate Chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, and red adhesive rhinestones.  I used a few more scrap pieces of My Mind's Eye - Quite Contrary double sided Owl cardstock.  Ink Pads: Chocolate Chip and Old Olive. S.U. Crimper #101618,  and Polka Dot embossing folder, used on the Birthday banner and window square.

The second card. . . .

I used S.U. Brilliant Blue (retired), textured Barely Banana (retired), and Night of Navy cardstock, along with some patterned cardstock from October Afternoon. I used the Square Lattice embossing folder #119976 on the bottom half of the card.  Tied it up with the new S.U. 3/8" Twill Tape #119970.  I used Papertrey Ink stamp set for YOU are, and the S.U. Warm Words set #115108 for the Wonderful. 

Tools used: S.U. Scallop Border punch, Large Oval punch, Scallop Oval punch, Crop-a-Dile Chomper, dots made with a Uni-ball white gel pen #105021, and stitch marks made with a .005 Black Micron pen.

Modern Thanksgiving tri-fold card - using new Stamp Sets from Stampin Up! Holiday Mini Catalog

Happy Friday. . . . .

My first card is a Modern Thanksgiving Tri-Fold card.  I used two new S.U. stamp sets that will be coming out in the Holiday Mini Catalog (Sept 1, 2010 - Jan 3, 2011)  Note: If you would like me to send you a copy of this new Holiday Mini just drop me a note - with your name and address, and I will add you to my mailing list. 

The stamp sets used are: Seasonal Sentiments & Day of Gratitude. The ribbon is a grosgrain Polka Dot (not available) from S.U.   I also used the Round Tab punch #108340, and Scallop Border punch..  Ink pads Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery, and Crushed Curry (retired).  The Paisley cardstock is from SEI. 

This second card is another Joy Fold Card using the Aviary stamp set (love this set!!).  I used some out dated patterned cardstock that came in my original starter kit from Stampin Up! in 2009.  I used a bird chipboard piece#119240, Eyelet Border punch #113692, white gel pen, Crushed Curry textured cardstock (retired), and the new Marina Mist cardstock.  Misc. rhinestone and pearl adhesives brads complete the look.

Tweet! Tweet! - Joy Fold Card technique using all new Stampin Up! products

Happy Wednesday. . . .It's over the hump day!

Today's card is a technique (Joy Fold Card) I found on www.SplitCoastStampers.com.  An easy and clever way to open your cute card.

Stampin Up! Products:  The new Aviary #120462 and new A Word for You #120528 stamp sets.  The new Elegant Soiree DSP #117163, new Mix & Match chipboard heart piece #119240, Scallop Border punch, new 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punch #118874, new Cherry Cobbler ink pad, along with Tempting Turquoise and Basic Black ink pads.  Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, new Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, and the new Marina Mist.  I used the uni-ball Signo Gel Pen #105021to make the stitch marks, and sponged some edges with Sahara Sand ink and sponge.

Misc. products used: 3" Scallop Circle punch, 2-3/4" Circle punch, and a 2" Circle punch.  Accented with a ribbon bow, and button from Papertrey Ink.

Patterned Purse Note Pad Holder and Mini Pen - using Stampin Up!

Good Morning Everyone

My posting today was inspired by Demonstrator - Nancy Riley and her Note Pad Purse.

My purse template I believe is smaller.  6"W x 4-1/4" H. 

Stampin Up! Products:  I used the new A Word for You stamp set, Bashful Blue grosgrain ribbon, new Crumb Cake cardstock, new Elegant Soiree DSP, Scallop Circle die from Sizzix, Oval punch, Scallop Oval punch, Scallop Border punch, sponge and ink pads.  I accented the outside with a fabric covered button from K & Company, and a velcro closure.  The pad and pen inside was found at Joanns in their $1 bin.

Tea Light Mini Cakes & Ice Cream Sandwich - using Stampin Up

Quick Sunday Treats................

The first project today is Tea Light Mini Cakes.  I found this tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.com website.

I used Stampin Up! new Elegant Soiree DSP #117163 and Dazzling Diamonds.  I accented each with pearl and rhinestone adhesive brads, ric rac and shear ribbon.  I made a tubular pedestal for one of the cakes.

The second project is a Ice Cream Sandwich Treat Box.  I found this tutorial on another stampers website, but I can't remember who. 

I used Stampin Up! new A Word for You stamp set #120528, Whisper White cardstock, markers, Basic Black satin ribbon, and the Crimper tool.  Papertrey Ink polka dot patterned cardstock, and a Cherry stubbie stamp from Stamps by Judith.

Colorful Birthday Cow Card - using Stampin Up!

Hello Everyone

It's a very easy laid back weekend for me.  No major things I need to do.  Today's posting is a quick card I made for a friend with retired stamps from Stampin Up - Happy Birthday cow, and Sprinkles #115076 background stamp.  I used Tempting Turquoise cardstock, Dazzling Diamonds, markers, Scallop Border punch, and Basic Black satin ribbon.  The patterned paper and button is from Papertrey Ink.  Hope he likes it.

One of a Kind - Onies Clothsline Treat Box - using Stampin Up! & Sizzlits Grass die

This was a special challenge for me.  After I saw Jackie Topa's cute little hangers she makes I decided I had to make something special to show off my hangers.  Here it is - A Cloths Line Treat Box.  I used all sorts of Stampin Up! products to pull it off. 

They were: Chocolate Chip, Confetti White, Old Olive, and Certainly Celery cardstock.  Stamp Sets: Sweet Scoops #120078, and A Word for You #120528.  Scallop Border Edge Punch, Crimper, sponges, Soft Suede, Always Artichoke, and Wild Wasabi classic ink pads.  Whisper White Craft ink, Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel #118621 with various Designer Series Papers.  I used the Modern Label punch #116630, small paper clips, & 1/16" punch to make my hangers.

Other items: My designed box template and clothsline poles, Brown Plaid satin ribbon, twine, star brad, and Diamond Dot stickers.

Monday - Stampin Connection Treat Box using Stampin Up! new Stamp Sets

Happy Monday. . . . .

This treat box idea comes from a video I watched on www.StampinConnection.com from Richard Garay.  A website for Stampin Up! demonstrators.  I thought it looked easy enough, and it was!

Stampin Up! products: Certainly Celery DSP - Certainly Celery, Whisper White, and Basic Black cardstock.  I used two new Stamp Sets - Aviary #120462 and A Word for You #120528.  I used the new Pacific Point and Basic Black ink pads.   Accented the box using the Round Tab punch #108340, a retired Corduroy button and twine.  Tied up with some white grosgrain ribbon.  This box measures 3-1/2"W x 2"D x 4" High. 

This treat box - I can make, and available for purchase to anyone in the U.S.A.

Saturday - Flowers B-Day Card using Stampin Up!

Saturday Woo! Hoo................

I love this Outline Flowers stamp by Hero Arts. 

I decided to color only a few of the flowers with Stampin Up markers.  I used Penny Lane cardstock for the background of the card, along with Stampin Up's Bermuda Bay, and Pretty in Pink cardstock.  I stamped the card with the new S.U. A Word for You #120528 sentiment stamp set.  I punched an edge piece using the Scallop Edge Border punch #119882.  The birthday banner has been crimped with the Crimper #101618 from Stampin Up!.  The Crop-a-Dile Chomper, ribbon, and cupcake brad complete the look of this birthday card.

2-Step Owl Punch Treat Box from Stampin Up! using Fancy Favor die from Sizzix

Happy Friday............Yea!!!!!!!!!

I made this cute little treat box/basket using the Fancy Favor box die #116819 from Stampin Up/Sizzix,  and the new S.U. Two Step Owl punch #118074.  NOTE: I added the bow tie and buttons to his shirt (it is not part of the punch pieces).  The sentiment is from the new stamp set A Word for You #120528, which is quickly becoming one of my favorites.  I used the new Twill Tape, the Modern Label punch & Modern Label Movers & Shapers magnetic punch window #115953.  Tempting Turquoise, Sahara Sand pads and sponge.  Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake (old name Kraft), Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Tempting Turquoise, & Whisper White cardstock.  Handles attached with brown Epoxy brads (no longer available).

The patterned cardstock is from Penny Lane. 

Other misc. items used: 3" Scallop Circle punch, 2-3/4" Circle punch, button and twine from Papertrey Ink.

Hello Everyone and Happy Thursday

Tweet! Tweet! Birdcage card - I made this cute card using a few NEW stamp sets from Stampin Up's 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog. 

I used the Aviary stamp set #120462, and A Word for You set #120528, along with Very Vanilla, Barely Banana (retired), Basic Black cardstock, and a Stamp-a-ma-jig #101049.  The flocked patterned cardstock is from a DCWV paper pad. 

This cute card was completed using the new Stampin Up! 3/8" wide twill tape #119970.  Button and twine from Papertrey Ink.  Corner Chomper from Crop-a-dile.

One comment about twill tape:  You can draw accent lines down the length of the twill tape using a Sharpie pen.  See sample below.

Sunny Saturday - Sizzix Heart Boxes - using Stampin Up!

Hello Everyone

Today's boxes were made using the Sizzix Heart Box & Key die #656088.  I bought this die off the Sizzix website.  They have great Tuesday Deals.  This die was 75% off.  I did not include the key die cut with these heart boxes.   Finished size is 5" wide x 4-3/4" high.

I used two Stampin Up! stamp sets - Forest Friends #113748 and Oval All #113790.  I also used S.U. Lg. Oval punch #107305, Scallop Oval punch #114889 and Sweet Pea designer paper (no longer available), ink pads and markers.  Other punches included 1-1/8" circle, 1-1/4" circle #104403, and 1-3/8" circle #104401, 2" circle, and 2-1/2" scallop circle.   The misc. ribbon and rhinestone brad complete the look.  Pink heart made with G.C.D. Studios paper pad I picked up at Big Lots CHEAP!!!

Two Simple Cards using Stampin Up! - Movers & Shapers

Hello and Happy Thursday..............

Today I have two simple cards that take very little time, using scraps of paper.

Card #1 - Stampin Up! products used:  Crumb Cake (old color name:Kraft), Basic Black, and Very Vanilla cardstock.  Real Red grosgrain ribbon and classic ink pad.  Sizzix Impressions Folder - Perfect Polka Dot #117335.  Curly Label punch #112208, Movers and Shapers Curly Label set #114506, markers, dimensionals, and Sahara Sand ink pad sponged on the edges.  Stamp Sets were Heard from the Heart #111644 and Tart & Tangy #111514.  The patterned paper scraps are from October Afternoon paper pad.

Card #2................

Stampin Up! products used: Crumb Cake, Real Red, and Very Vanilla cardstock.  Real Red grosgrain ribbon, Scallop border punch, Basic Black ink pad, and Red Epoxy brad (no longer available).  Stamp Set: Heard from the Heart #111644.  Misc items: stitch marks made with Red Gel Pen from Signo, Crop-a-Dile Corner Chomper.

Tempt You Tuesday with a "Step Card" - using Stampin Up!

Happy Tuesday

I've had a very productive day so far.  Did a few extra chores around the house early this A.M. along with my morning walk, and grocery shopping.  So I feel good!  Now it's time to start looking for a job AGAIN!!!!

But a little eye candy for my stamping girls first.  Today's' project is a step card done in girlie pinks.

Stampin Up products used: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock.  Stamp sets: Awash with Flowers (2 Step stamp set) #120549, and Vintage Vogue #118598.  I used Magenta, Choc. Chip, Certainly Celery, and Pretty in Pink  classic pads.  Crystal rhinestones and a regular brad.  Accents of Dazzling Diamonds gave it some sparkle.  This card could be made for almost anyone.  The patterned paper on the side comes from Paper Loft.  Button by Papertrey Ink.

Monday - Sizzix Baskets & Bloom die - Stampin Up! -

Happy Monday Everyone

Well, I have to tell you I wasn't very inspired this weekend when it came to stamping.  I drew a big BLANK!!  I think it might have been the excessive heat (105 degrees over the last four days).  Even doing my weekend cleaning was tough.

After three tries I came up with this little Baskets & Blooms number.  And I have to say, I wasn't really that enthused with it either.  But, it's all I got for you this Monday.  Sorry!

Besides using the Sizzix-Baskets & Blooms die #113484 and Certainly Celery cardstock, I used the Vintage Vogue stamp set #118598, square #109112, and round #109111 rhinestone brads  I accented the basket with S.U. Pretty in Pink striped 1/2" ribbon, and a Doodlebug button.  I punched the pop up daisy flower on the front and back using a punch from Martha Stewart.

Treat Box and Card using Stampin Up

Happy Saturday!

I enjoyed making the first Animal Crackers box, so I decided to make another.  I bought this cute paper from the Scrapbook convention a few months ago - (Paper Loft) and thought it would make a cute pink treat box.

Stampin Up! items used: Lg. Pink Epoxy brad (no longer available), Sincere Salutations stamp set #115068, Window Sheet #114323, Pretty in Pink cardstock, and 5/8" Old Olive grosgrain ribbon.  Nestabilities oval die, and Journal Frame stamp from Basic Grey.

 

The card is made using the Fifth Ave Floral stamp set #113734 from Stampin Up!.  Barely Banana, Real Red, and Whisper White cardstock.  Accented with Papertrey Ink patterned cardstock, and S.U. Old Olive grosgrain ribbon.

Animals Crackers box - using Stampin Up! - Crop-a-Dile

Happy Hot Friday Everyone. . . . .Going to be another hot one!!!

Todays treat box is a tutorial I found on inky-doodles blog. For my stamping girls, this will be one of your August workshop projects.  (Saturday August 21st 1pm - 3pm).

I used Stampin Up - Sincere Salutations stamp set #115068, Sweet Pea DSP (no longer available), acetate sheet, 1/2" Circle punch, 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, glue dots, Crop-a-Dile, and a clear Basic Grey journal stamp I had in my stash.  The oval hole was made with my Nestablities die and my Big Shot machine.  The closure is made with a simple large letter brad.  Large eyelets fill the side ribbon holes.  This cute little box measures 5" x 3" x 2" deep.

Others Inspired Me - Bird Barrel Purse & Card - using Stampin Up! products

Hello Everyone . . .The temperature is rising here in CA - 100+ degrees for my area. YIKES!!!!

A great time to stay indoors, and create hot projects inspired by others. 

My first project - I'm calling it my Bird Barrel Purse.

The inspiration came from Nancy Rileys purse she made for a friend. 

I have been saving my Sweet Pea DSP (no longer available) from Stampin Up! waiting for the perfect project to use it in. And this barrel purse was it!

Other Stampin Up! products: Brown Corduroy buttons, Sizzix Circle Scallop #2 die #113469, Bashful Blue 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, Circle Cutter #112530, and Scallop Circle punch.

Mics. items: Fiskars border slot punch, gold tone beaded chain, and dangling heart charms from my jewelry stash.

 
The second item is a card using the Level 2 Hostess-Punched Posies set #120030 from the S.U. Summer Mini Catalog.  If you look at page 5 of the SMC you will see my inspiration.  Punches used: Lg. Fancy Flower, Scallop Circle, 5-Petal Flower, and 1" circle punch.  I also used a white gel pen, brads, and the Whimsical Words stamp set # 119119.

Adorable Card - Using Ribbon Scraps & Products from Stampin Up!

Hello Everyone

Well it's going to be a warm Tuesday.  Went out walking just before 8am and it was already 80 degrees.

Might I say, I hate the summer heat!

This adorable card was made using (retired) Kraft, and Very Vanilla cardstock, various ribbon scraps, (retired) Warm Words stamp set, Lg. Fancy Flower punch #118073, Perfect Polka Dots #117335 textured Impressions folder, and (retired) Red Epoxy brad all from Stampin Up!.  The square button is from Papertrey Ink.  Card accents - Scrappin black floss, and Sharpie black dashes.  A cute and simple, yet colorful card.

More Triangle Favor Boxes - using Stampin Up!

Hello Everyone

A short posting today seeing it's my birthday. Don't ask how old. YIKES!!!! 

I have had a somewhat relaxing day.  I've enjoyed the many birthday calls I've been getting from my dear and loving friends that live a long distance away. 

Got my walking done first thing, so as to get it out of the way.  Then I spent two hours at the car dealership getting my car serviced. Money! Money! Money!. . . . . This is the last thing on my to do list for the day.  The evening will be spent watching a few of my favorite shows, with a glass of wine in my hand, celebrating! Yah Hoo................

Anyway, today's project. . . . .

I started to make these triangle favor boxes a few weeks ago (idea from Angie Kennedy) and can't seem to make enough.  They're not very big, but easy to make, and very cute!  Now what to do with all of them??

Because of my job situation (still no job), I haven't bought but a few new items from the new Stampin Up! 2010-2011 catalog.   I have been trying to use supplies from my craft stash, which is huge!  The stamps and most of the punches, ribbon, glitter, and brads used are from Stampin Up!  The colorful patterned cardstock, comes from Papertrey Ink and G.C. D. Studio paper pads.

New from Stampin Up 2010-2011 Catalog - simple card Using Baby Bundle stamp set & Baby Tees Wheel

Hello Everyone

Hope you are having a great Tuesday.

Today's card I  made by using the Baby Bundle stamp set #120576, the new Scallop Rectangle Clearlit from Sizzix #118872, and the Baby Tees Jumbo wheel #118621 all items are NEW in the Stampin Up 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog, just out this month.  I used Real Red and Whisper White cardstoc, along with Papertrey Ink patterned paper.  The card is accented with Crystal Effects #101055, ric rac, and a cute duck button I had in my craft stash.

My Second Love - Sizzix & Stampin Up! products

Happy Saturday Everyone......

The items today were made using my 2nd favorite stamps - Papertrey Ink - clear cling stamps.  I used October Afternoon patterned paper on all three items . 

Other items used: Crop A Dile corner chomper, Sizzix Scallop Envelope die, Papertrey cutting die, 2-1/4" scallop punch, 2" circle punch, S.U. 1-3/4" circle punch, S.U. flower brad, markers, and misc. grosgrain ribbon.
