As you will see I was stuck on colors of Purple today. The actual Stampin Up! colors are Lovely Lilac and Elegant Eggplant.
The first project is a hangng heart I made by using Lovely Lilac cardstock and a large lace heart stamp I had (not Stampin Up). I stamped the large heart by using S.U.Whisper White Craft ink #101731 and embossed it with clear embossing powder #109130. Hung with white 1/4" grosgrain ribbon. The sentiment was from our Short & Sweet stamp set #115060. I love this set and use it often. For an added detail I added a bead at the bottom strung with purple jewelry wire. As you can see I had to hang it from my banana stand which would accommodate the full length of the item. A cute little goodie box don't you think.
The next project was made using lovely Elegant Eggplant cardstock. I used one new item that will be coming out January 5, 2010. NEW ITEM - The Textured Impressions folder #117335 Perfect Polka Dots, from our NEW - Occasions Mini Catalog. The stamp sets I used were - Flight of the Butterfly #111564 & For All You Do #115360. I also used S.U. paper piercing tool #116631, Scallop Circle Punch #109043, 1-3/8" Circle punch #104401, 1-1/4" Circle punch #104403 and the 1-1/4" square punch #104400. I hand cut the flowers and butterfly out. Everything pops off the card using S.U. dimensionals #104430. I think this is a card anyone would love.
The next item - a Valentine box purse - I made it by designing a template to fit a box of Brachs candy hearts. The body of the box is made from Pretty in Pink cardstock #100459 then embossed with the NEW Polka Dot textured impressions folder. The three hearts were made using another NEW ITEM - Scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslit die #117332 - both out January 5, 2010 - Occasions Mini Catalog. I painted the top white heart with a bit of S.U. #72 Frost White metallic paint. The stitch lines were made with S.U. white gel pen #105021. A great little gift item for your child to give to her favorite school friends and teachers. You could add some more glitz by using S.U. Dazzling Diamonds. I added some dazzle to the handle with a 3/4" binder ring, tied with strands of 1/4" grosgrain ribbons.
The last little gem is a cupcake box. I found this template online. The inside box sleeves into the outside piece. I used Flight of the Butterfly stamp set # 111564, then punched out the butterflies with S.U. butterfly punch #116629. I stamped the tiny butterfly on the outside sleeve piece, stamping it with the VersaMark pad # 102283. All the stitching marks and butterfly trails were made using the white gel pen # 105021 A great little box to hold a yummy little cupcake.
